Overview

About Microfiltration (MF)

Microfiltration (MF) is a low-pressure process that uses membranes with pore sizes ranging from 0.1 to 10 μm. These membranes effectively separate large suspended solids like colloids, particulates, fats, viruses, and bacteria while allowing smaller molecules such as sugars, proteins, salts, and low molecular weight compounds to pass. Most MF membranes feature an asymmetric structure with tighter surface pores for enhanced rejection and open macrovoids for optimized flux. GreEnvi offers a variety of MF membranes with pore sizes of 0.1, 0.2, 0.45, and 1 μm, addressing challenges such as microbial removal, protein fractionation, and pretreatment. Available in spiral-wound and flat sheet configurations, these membranes are tailored for high efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Our hydrophilic PES and PVDF membranes, produced with eco-friendly additives, offer excellent pH, temperature, and fouling resistance.
